George Clooney’s ‘Shrinking Appearance’ Raises Concerns Among His Friends

George Clooney has been looking thin and scrawny recently, and his inner circle fear that he might be picking up his wife’s eating habits. “People were commenting on how thin George has gotten. His friends worry he’s not taking proper care of himself,” a tipster said.

The 62-year-old movie star attended the Prince’s Trust Awards in London with his lawyer wife, Amal, in May. At the event, people who witnessed their presence were shocked at how gaunt Clooney looked at the event.

The source added that Clooney probably feels “a lot of pressure to maintain his weight and keep up with Amal since they make a lot of glam appearances together.” They also zeroed in on Amal’s diet, saying that she ate “the bare minimum.”

“Maybe hard-boiled egg for breakfast, soup for lunch and chickpea salad for dinner,” the source said. Amal did a body makeover last year to get in sexy shape.

“She got in great shape and was working out with a trainer, and it seemed like George might follow her lead— but that hasn’t happened,” the tipster continued.

Clooney’s earlier weight loss

In 2020, Clooney was diagnosed with pancreatitis causing him to shed weight. He believed the condition was related to his extreme diet in preparation for the post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama The Midnight Sky. “I think I was trying too hard to lose the weight quickly and probably wasn’t taking care of myself,” Clooney explained.

The source also added that Clooney was “taking much better care of himself,” since the illness, but thanks to his wife, “that has clearly gone out the window.” Clooney and Amal met in 2013 and got married in 2014. The duo welcomed twins— Alexander and Ella, in June 2017.
