Michael J. Fox recently celebrated his 62nd birthday on June 9 amidst his fierce battle with Parkinson’s disease. Fox’s birthday comes just three days after he received the prestigious lifetime achievement award at the Moving Image Awards for his commitment and dedication to the movie industry.
Despite once acknowledging that he has little time left due to his health condition, Fox is happy and grateful for every second he lives as he shares a post to celebrate the milestone. Also, fans and colleagues took to his comment section to post tributes.
Fox took to Instagram to post a happy moment of himself alongside his Happy Days co-star, Henry Winkler. The photograph was captured during their time together at the just concluded FAN EXPO held in Philadelphia.
In the photo, Fox wore a pair of jean trousers and a round neck while complimenting the outfit with a face cap. “62 and STILL cool… wait dammit …look who it is …..” the caption reads. “The C*O*A*T! Aaaayyy!!! I’m not worthy.”
Fox was showered with heartfelt Instagram shoutouts from his beloved fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Tracy Pollan, the actor’s wife and former Family Ties co-star, shared a delightful Instagram photo capturing the couple in a cozy embrace. “Happy birthday, handsome! Could not love you more,” she wrote. “Let’s celebrate.”
Fellow Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds paid homage to his compatriot and friend on his Instagram story, honoring the talented actor. “A very happy birthday to the one and only @realmikejfox,” he wrote. “I love this man, his work, his sense of humor, generosity, and devotion to his incredible family.”
Also, Christopher Lloyd, who is known for his role as Doc Brown alongside Fox in the Back to the Future franchise, shared a photo reel of them together while reminiscing about their memorable on-screen partnership. “Happy Birthday to my dear friend @realmikejfox,” he captioned. “Happy Birthday to my lovely, talented, brilliant friend @realmikejfox,” Julianna Margulies, who shared the screen with Fox during his recurring role on The Good Wife, wrote in the caption alongside a picture of both of them. “You make the world a better place every day!”
