Sills revealed that despite facing her own mortality, Turner exhibited a remarkable absence of fear toward death. Instead, she embraced life to the fullest, finding happiness and contentment in her peaceful home in Switzerland. “She told me two years ago, she said, ‘Stephen, I’m ready to go anytime. I’m not scared of death,” the confidant recalled her conversation with her. “I’ve had a last part of life. I’ve enjoyed it, but I’m tired.'”

Dechen Shak-Dagsay, a Tibetan Buddhist mantras singer, also recently made a statement to Dailymail.com about the late singer. The singer explained that Turner made a deliberate decision to withdraw from the public eye in the final years of her life in a bid to meticulously prepare for a peaceful passing. “Tina told me, ‘I’m not afraid of dying.’ She was curious to see what is coming,” she confessed. “I did not see Tina for the last couple of years after she began suffering serious health problems. But I know she was not afraid of dying.”

Stephen Sills eulogizes Tina Turner

In the course of the interview, Sills was full of praises for Turner and described her as a good companion. “She was such an amazing friend, and she had such a force of creativity,” he explained. “The Tina Turner persona of performing, that was a made-up person. We used to talk about it, and she created that, and it was a beautiful image. But she was absolutely positive and energetic and interested and curious. She was just an amazing person.”
