John Travolta paid a heartfelt tribute to his late wife on Mother’s Day. The 69-year-old actor shared a throwback video of his late wife, Kelly Preston, opening a gift on a previous Mother’s Day. “Happy Mother’s Day, Kelly. We miss you and love you! Love, Ben, Ella, and John,” the actor captioned the post.
The sweet video featured Kelly admiring her gift in a white box decorated with blue flowers and the word “MOM” spelled with block letters. The late actress gasped excitedly and then said, “But first I want to hold it like this,” as she turned the gift to the camera, which had John behind it.
It has been almost three years since Kelly’s death

In July 2020, Kelly died from breast cancer after a two-year battle with the disease. John announced her passing on Instagram at the time while also thanking her medical attendants and caregivers at MD Anderson Cancer Center and other hospitals she had been in.

John makes sure to remember his late wife and son on their special days. Last October, John marked Kelly’s would-have-been 60th birthday with an old photo of them on a red carpet. “Happy birthday to my favorite dance partner! We love you and miss you, Kelly,” John wrote.

Earlier that year, John also remembered their son Jett, who died at the age of 16 following a seizure while on a family vacation. “My dearest Jetty, I miss you more than words can say. I think about you everyday. Happy Birthday. Love, your Dad,” John wrote to mark his late son’s 30th posthumous birthday.
