Meghan Markle’s problems with her family have been a source of ongoing media scrutiny and speculation. Recently, her estranged family accused the Duchess of Sussex of spinning countless untrue and unfounded stories about them.

Despite that, the 78-year-old made a sincere appeal to Meghan, conveying his yearning for a reunion and revealing his openness to any form of dialogue while also expressing his desire to meet his grandchildren, whom he has never had the chance to see.

Samantha Markle described the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationship as “toxic” and “very unhealthy” for both of them. Also, Samantha and Thomas Jr. contested Meghan’s assertion that she grew up as an only child.

“I grew up as an only child, which everyone who grew up around me knows,” Markle revealed in an interview with Oprah. “I wished I had siblings. I would’ve loved to have had siblings. That’s why I’m so excited to be pregnant so that Archie has someone.” The half-siblings maintained that they were a part of her upbringing and were present during her childhood.

In the course of the interview, Samantha alleged that her half-sister lied to the British royal family about their family when she met them. “What she told the royal family, what she told Harry, wouldn’t have jived,” she said. “Wouldn’t have been consistent with the truth.”

She also claimed that the Duchess of Sussex fabricated stories about her family’s background to make herself appear more interesting to the royals. “It doesn’t seem like she felt that she was good enough,” Samantha explained. “That seemingly in her mind, she had to inflate who she was to garner false admiration and to be accepted by the royals instead of saying, ‘Look, I’ve worked very hard. My family was upper middle class. He put me through the best schools. He did the best he could.”

Samantha further revealed that without their father’s input, Meghan would not have had a good life. “He loved me. He sacrificed, and for that, I’m grateful. Instead, what she did was engage in self-glorification and leave everybody else out of the equation as if she existed in a vacuum,” she said. “In my opinion, she would still be a waitress if it wasn’t for Dad.”

Thomas Markle has admitted to leaking a portion of a letter that was sent to him by his daughter after their initial falling out. He alleged that the letter was written at the suggestion of Queen Elizabeth. He described the letter as “horrible, insulting, and cruel,” and claimed that it was drafted to make him look bad.

He also stated that he had no choice but to leak part of it to the press because he wanted to defend himself against the accusations that were being levied against him. “I thought I have to get my side into this too. And I put out a little part of it,” Thomas Markle admitted. “The other things in that letter are so hateful and so cruel that I wouldn’t put it out, and that’s more protecting her than myself.”
