On the Friday episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, both co-hosts discussed sultry social media posts from celebrities in their age group. Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa talked about people’s reactions to some of their colleague’s birthday suit photos.
Kelly also affirmed her stance as being liberal when it comes to posting sexy photos as an older person while encouraging her man to do the same. “I’m not an age-shamer. Here’s what I am: ‘Live and let live!'” she stated.
The couple went all in on the topic, referencing a USA Today article about Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, and Halle Berry going sultry on social media. “Baring it all has no age limit, do you agree?” Mark asked his wife. “I like it, I’m for it! Body positivity, why not?” Kelly responded.
“Of course— especially their bodies, my goodness. They are like, it’s like the Benjamin Buttoning of all Benjamin Buttons. Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, Paulina Porizkova, Jennifer Lopez, Martha Stewart,” Kelly gushed.
Per how people respond to celebrities going bare, Kelly had a piece of her mind for the haters. “People get so fake-outraged over things, and it’s like, Calm down,” she said, while Mark responded with, “Take off your clothes and calm down,” to which Kelly answered the same line back in affirmation.
Kelly then turned to her husband, asking if he would pose nude since he is over 50. “No, I would not,” Mark answered without hesitating. “As somebody who has seen you [naked] many times, I highly encourage it,” Kelly cockily answered right back.
