Despite mourning her mother’s death and being caught up in a family legal battle with her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, Riley Keough has decided to step away from all her troubles as she appears in a discussion with Interview Magazine where she spoke about becoming a mother for the first time.
The 33-year-old had kept the birth of her child from the public as she only shared the news with close family and friends, understandably because the arrival of her daughter coincided with the death of her mother, Lisa Marie, and there was so much tension around. However, her husband revealed the news during a public memorial service for the late Lisa Marie.
Riley Keough speaks about her daughter
Although fans are fully aware of her baby’s existence, Riley has kept a tight lid on the details surrounding her child as she is yet to disclose her birth date. However, she broke the silence during the interview and briefly spoke about her.

During the interview, journalist Janicza Bravo asked Riley for details on how she was adjusting to motherhood. “I’ve never talked about this in an interview,” Riley replied jokingly. “Do you want the exclusive? It’s going to go viral.” To keep the actress talking, Bravo pointed out that the birth of her child was now public knowledge. “I know, yeah,” Riley interjected swiftly before the interviewer could probe further. “I became a mother in 2022.”
The actress plans to give her child a normal and private upbringing
Riley chose not to provide additional information about her daughter, and it is likely that she will continue to keep her child out of the public eye for the time being. A friend of the actress shared with US Magazine in February that Riley has experienced a lot of heartache in her life due to being in the public eye, and she wants to protect her child from experiencing the same difficulties.
“Riley wanted to keep the birth of her daughter private because her and her entire family is so public in every other way,” the source told the news outlet. “Ben is a huge support system. He is so kind and caring and Riley needs that right now.”
The insider also revealed to US Magazine that both Keough and husband Ben are considering having more children. “The possibility of more kids is something that both Riley and Ben are very open to in the near future.”
