Recently, Sylvester Stallone teased a reunion with Henry Winkler by sharing a post that featured an epic throwback photo from the set of Lords of Flatbush. Although they were both not as highly rated when making the 1974 classic, true fans from way back will feel nostalgic at the sight of the post.

“This is myself and Henry Winkler fooling around between takes during the filming of Lords of Flatbush. I think I have a strong feeling I am going to work with HENRY THE GREAT pretty soon! #KEEPPUNCHING,” Stallone wrote alongside the photo on Instagram.

The post garnered over 40,000 likes a few hours after going up and got a lot of comments from fans who are rooting for something epic from the two stars. “I loved The Lords Of Flatbush!! Looking forward to seeing what’s coming from Stanley and Butchie, lol,” a fan commented. “Balboa and Fonzarelli together again will be beyond epic!” someone else wrote.

Some fans also urged that Henry be cast in Kings of Tulsa. Stallone got on the series from Taylor Sheridan in 2022, and the first season is on Paramount +. While the series continues, some fans assume the teaser means Henry will be joining the show subsequently. “That would be amazing …..maybe on Tulsa King??!!!” someone asked. “Bring the Fonz into Tulsa King,” someone else requested in the comments.

Stallone Inspired Henry’s character as Fonzerelli

Henry has played the character Gene Cousineau on Barry since 2018, and the series will wrap up with the current season; this means he has his schedule cleared up for a new role, and very likely with Stallone.

He admitted in several interviews that his breakout character as “The Fonz” in Happy Days was inspired by Stallone’s role as Stanley Rosiello in Lords Of Flatbush.

Henry added that while auditioning for the part, he channeled Stallone’s performance, and it sold him easily. “I just changed my voice a bit, you know?” he said on the Couch Surfing show. He added that he would, on many occasions, ask himself, “What would Sly do here?”
