Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu, two of the main stars of the 2000 hit movie Charlie’s Angels, remain as hilarious as ever after so many years. Liu recently appeared on her longtime friend and former co-star’s talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, to discuss her film Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
During a segment of the show, the two reminisced about their past, leading to a surprising revelation about some nude portraits that had been lost for a long time. “Do you know what I was actually trying to find,” Barrymore asked Liu during a segment on the show. “And of course, I’m doing a mad scramble… I was trying to find the nude photographs you took of me on the set of Charlie’s in my dressing room.” Liu replied, “I have them,” “You do?” the Ever After star said excitedly while Liu affirmed. “I do, of course,” she said.

During the recent mini-reunion, Barrymore asked Liu to recount her best experience while on the set of Charlie’s Angels before proceeding to show her a picture that featured Barrymore, Diaz, and herself while playing investigators.

“I remember pain,” Liu said while examining the photograph that showed both of them with one leg lifted in preparation for a fight while Diaz was positioned in the center, crouching down with her arms out. “I remember that they had to connect our legs to a wire to hold them up like that, because it’s impossible, right? Because you would have to slant your body over.”
The 54-year-old also recollected the challenging experience of having to climb over a fence while wearing high heels. “What a memorable photo it made,” Liu claimed. “We were pretty badass,” while Barrymore quickly interjected with, “Yeah, we were!”
Also, Liu mentioned that they have evolved and developed as individuals since their time on the set of Charlie’s Angels. “We’ve obviously grown and learned and changed,” she said. “I know that 20 years has gone by, but I feel like it was yesterday. I feel just as fresh and as young and as creatively excited as I was when I started.”

It’s not a Hollywood fairy tale.”
