Despite the huge age difference between them, Sajak was 42 while Lesly was 23, the lovers did not waste time taking their relationship to the next level. Also, the 76-year-old revealed in an interview with People that the connection between him and Lesly was so strong. “It is frightening,” Sajak told the outlet. “We are already doing the thing where you start a sentence, and the other person finishes it for you.”

However, they got married in 1989, just a year after they met in an old-fashioned wedding ceremony that was held at a church in Annapolis, Maryland. The couple had a short honeymoon in the Caribbean because Sajak had to return to work.

Lesly is a photographer

Years before meeting her husband, Lesly earned a bachelor’s degree in television production from the University of Maryland in 1986. She briefly pursued a modeling career and competed at different levels which earned her the “Miss Georgetown” crown at some point. Not satisfied with her success, she decide to take a different route.

The 57-year-old revealed to People that she quit modeling in favor of another career path. “I left modeling to become a professional law practitioner.” However, as of now, Lesly works as a professional photographer.

Pat Sajak and his wife, Lesly Brown-Sajak are proud parents to two children

The couple welcomed their first child, a son, Patrick Michael James Sajak on September 22, 1990, and had their daughter Maggie Marie Sajak on January 5, 1995. Both children have made appearances on Wheel of Fortune during their early years.

Sajak’s children are quite successful as Patrick is now a medical doctor. The 76-year-old took some time out to say good things about his son’s achievements on an episode of Wheel of Fortune in 2021. “He’s made it through medical school, and he is now officially Dr. Sajak, and we’re all thrilled,” Sajak revealed. “He insists that I call him Dr. Sajak. [My wife] Lesly and I couldn’t be prouder. I tried to get [Patrick] into geriatrics, but he refused. But that’s a personal thing.”

Maggie is a country musician, she released her debut single “First Kiss” in 2011. In 2013, the 28-year-old also recorded a song in Nashville, “Live Out Loud” in honor of a teenage cancer patient, Muriel Walters from Maryland.

In 2019, when Sajak had emergency intestinal surgery to remove a blockage, Lesley was by his side all through the process. The 76-year-old told Good Morning America in 2019 that his wife was his support during the period.

“In the background [at the hospital], I could hear my wife and daughter talking,” Sajak told the outlet. “It sounded like they were a mile off, but they were right next to me! They were talking to each other. And I remember thinking, not in a morbid way, ‘I think this must be death. This must be what death is like.’ Hearing their voices, I thought, ‘Boy, their lives are gonna change now.’ And I felt badly for them. I didn’t feel badly about dying. I felt badly that they were gonna have to deal with the aftermath. As it turned out, I was just high.”
