Angelina

Controversial ex-couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were subjected to worldwide criticism at the start of their relationship. Jolie was accused of influencing Pitt’s divorce from his first wife, Jennifer Aniston. However the 47-year-old debunked the rumor, stating that she got attracted to Pitt while they co-starred in the American comedy film, Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), but they didn’t get intimate with one another.

However, Jolie and Pitt were spotted alongside each other a month after he officially ended his first marriage. The ex-lovers acknowledged for the first time publicly that they were romantically involved with each other in January 2006 when they revealed that they were expecting a child together. Throughout their 12 years of relationship, the couple welcomed six children in total.

Jolie adopted Maddox from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002 when he was seven months old. This was before Pitt and Jolie started dating; however, she took him in while married to Bob Thornton. Inspired by Maddox, Jolie and Pitt created the Maddox Chivan Children’s Centre to assist families affected by HIV/AIDS in Phnom Penh.

In 2019, Maddox went to Seoul, South Korea, to study at Yonsei University, but he was back home to study remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. Maddox has worked as a producer and assistant on some movies such as First They Killed My Father and By The Sea featuring Jolie and Pitt.

Jolie adopted six-month-old Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005. She is the inspiration behind The Jolie-Pitt Foundation’s Zahara Program and the Zahara Children’s Center. The couple launched this program to research and treat drug-resistant tuberculosis in Ethiopia.

In the TIME 100 Interview with Jolie, she revealed that Zahara had been a great source of inspiration to her. “My daughter is from Ethiopia, one of my children. And I have learned so much from her,” the actress said. “She is my family, but she is an extraordinary African woman, and her connection to her country, her continent, is very— it’s her own, and it’s something I only stand back in awe of.”

In 2022, Jolie announced that Zahara would attend Spelman College, an HBCU in Atlanta, Georgia. Pitt also gushed about their daughter during his Bullet Train premiere. “She’s so smart. She’s going to flourish even more at college,” Pitt told Vanity Fair. “It’s an exciting and beautiful time to find her own way and pursue her interests. I’m so proud.”

Pax Jolie Pitt

Pax who was born in Vietnam was welcomed into the family at three years old in 2007. During an interview with Vogue India, Jolie was questioned on what brought about the decision to adopt a child from another war-torn country.

“I did think about that. I did originally think not to adopt from Vietnam because Mad was Cambodian, and the two countries have a complex history,” the actress responded. “Then I was reading a book on human rights and found myself staring at an image of a Vietnamese fighter held captive by Americans. I thought of my own country and our involvement in south-east Asia. I thought of focusing on a future where we were all family.”

Jolie and Pitt had their first biological child together in 2006. She was born in Swakopmund, Namibia, on May 27, having dual citizenship as a Namibian and American. Shiloh loves to dance, as she was spotted on her way to dance class in 2021.

The teen went viral on social media in 2022 for her dance moves with the Millennium Dance Complex. She danced along to Doja Cat’s “Vegas” in the video.

Vivienne Jolie Pitt

In July 2008, Jolie and Pitt welcomed twins— a girl, Vivienne, and a boy. Vivienne co-starred with Jolie in Maleficent, playing little Princess Aurora. Jolie explained in a 2014 interview with Entertainment Weekly that Aurora got the role because she was not scared of the Maleficent costume.

“We think it’s fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors. That’s not our goal for Pitt and I at all,” she said. “But the other 3- and 4-year-old performers wouldn’t come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv.”

Jolie revealed in 2016 to BBC Radio 4 that all her children are taking up new languages, and Vivienne “really wanted to learn Arabic.”

Knox Jolie Pitt

Knox is the youngest and twin brother to Vivienne. Knox also starred alongside his mum in Kung Fu Panda, playing Ku Ku. Knox is interested in sign language and has been spotted selling organic dog treats with his twin sister and mom in Los Angeles for Hope For Paws, an organization that rescues homeless dogs.

Jolie gushed over her twins in an interview with Vanity Fair. “Knox and Viv are classic boy and girl. She’s really female. And he’s really a little dude,” the celebrity mom praised her kids.
