Netflix is starting to tease its new show That ’90s Show which is a reboot of That ’70s Show. While many of the original cast members will appear alongside some new faces, there is one person that will not be featured in the series at all. Danny Masterson will not reprise his role as Steven Hyde because he is currently on trial.
That ’90s Show follows Leia Forman, the daughter of Eric and Donna, played by Topher Grace and Laura Prepon. Both are set to appear in the series along with Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman), Kirkwood Smith (Red Forman), Ashton Kutcher (Michael Kelso), Mila Kunis (Jackie Burkhart), and Wilmer Valderrama (Fez).
Danny Masterson will not appear in ‘That ’90s Show’
Danny is on trial after being charged with three rape allegations. After an investigation, the Los Angeles Police Department charged him with raping a 23-year-old between January and December 2001, a 28-year-old in April 2003, and another 23-year-old between October and December 2003. If he is convicted, he faces up to 45 years to life in a California prison.

The original That ’70s Show aired from 1998 to 2006. The reboot will follow a similar premise, focusing on six teenage friends who hang out in Red and Kitty’s basement during the summer. Many of the new cast members are based on the original characters.
