Natasha Bure has taken to her social media to defend her mom after the actress was criticized over a controversial comment she made regarding same-sex marriages. The 24-year-old daughter of the Full House star shared a picture on her Instagram story, of her mother and father, Valeri Bure, with one of the captions: “How much she loves Jesus and how firm in her faith she stands.”

Cameron Bure, the former face of Hallmark, announced her departure from the company to a faith-based network, Great American Family. In her interview with Wall Street Journal, her reply to the media’s view on LGBTQ roles was received with criticisms from the public. The response, “will keep traditional marriage at the core,” riled up celebrities like Jojo Siwa and Hilarie Burton.

The Full House alum explained her reasons for leaving Hallmark media after over ten years of commitment. She says, “My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them.” Candace went on to step on the toes of the LQBTQ community when she announced that she has no intentions of including same-sex marriages as they are not the traditional way of uniting couples.

American actress Hilarie Burton was infuriated by the controversial comment and chose to express her anger on her Twitter page. “Bigot. I don’t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy. But sure. Make your money, honey. You ride that prejudice wave all the way to the bank.”

“Now they’re just openly admitting their bigotry. I called this sh*t out years ago when Abbott was at Hallmark. Glad they dumped him,” Hilarie continued. “Being LGBTQ isn’t a ‘trend.’ That guy and his network are disgusting. You too Candy. There is nothing untraditional about same-sex couples.”

Jojo Siwa also shared her disappointment about Candace’s comment, as she called it, “rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.” Amidst the insults, Natasha, on her Instagram, shared a picture of her parents and brothers as she praised her mother for her boldness in expressing her faith.

“The media is an absolutely VILE space for negativity and I applaud you every time for how you handle yourself with the upmost grace,” she wrote. “As they continuously twist the narrative to beat down on the Kingdom, you stand firm in faith and never let others dim your light for Him.”
