Jennifer Aniston Opens Up About Infertility And IVF

Jennifer Aniston is talking about something personal for the very first time. The 53-year-old revealed that she has struggled with infertility and even went through in vitro fertilization (IVF) to try to get pregnant. Unfortunately, she was never able to have children even though she wanted to.

People have speculated for years on why Jennifer didn’t have children and she is now sharing that she wanted to, but was just never able to. She explained, “I was trying to…It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road.”

She continued, “All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today.”

These days, Jennifer knows that she is no longer able to conceive and she’s okay with that. She shared, “I have zero regrets. I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.” Jennifer has been married twice, to Brad Pitt and later Justin Theroux, but did not reveal the timeline of when she was trying to get pregnant.

She did set the record straight that it was not her infertility struggles that led to her breakup with Brad. Jennifer said, “God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. It was absolute lies. I don’t have anything to hide at this point.” She added that she has been “so protective” of this personal journey but wanted to share the truth now.
