Meet Frank Sinatra’s Granddaughter, Amanda Erlinger, Who Is Forging Her Own Path In Art

by Peace A

Amanda Erlinger

Frank Sinatra’s daughter, Nancy Sinatra, gave birth to two beautiful girls, A.J. Lambert and Amanda Erlinger, during her 15 years of marriage to Hugh Lambert. It’s not a secret that art runs in the Sinatra family, starting with Frank himself and Nancy, a well-known musician with a legacy outside her father’s name.

Amanda remains in the art world, but deviates from the norm by pursuing Frank’s less famous gifts: painting and photography. The legend’s granddaughter is a well-established photographer and painter who credits him for her success. She further details how Frank guided and molded her into what she is today and how he took up the fatherhood mantle when her father, Hugh, died when she was 9.

“My grandfather was very much a family man and loved to spend time with us,” Amanda spoke sweetly of Frank. “He wanted to be with his family and always wanted us around, which included his three kids and his grandkids. He loved being a grandpa. He taught me how to paint and repaint together in his studio.”

Most of what Amanda knows about painting today was from Frank. “My grandpa has his own painting studio at his home in Rancho Mirage. He started painting very early, when he was probably in his early 20s,” she revealed. “In his art studio is where my sister and I would spend a lot of time with him and where he basically taught me how to paint and how to work with the materials and the techniques.”

She claimed he instilled in. her the art of keeping a painting studio clean and made sure she took pride in her work. “He was very neat and clean,” Amanda said. “He did have people that helped him, but when it came to his studio, he cleaned everything on his own and took pride in that. I really respected him for that.”

She was born Amanda Lambert

The painter was born in 1976, a year after her sister, and enjoyed her grandfather’s love until his death when she was 22. However, three years prior, another man who would become her spouse came into her life.

“I have an amazing husband. He is the love of my life, he is my best friend,” Amanda said adorably.  “I’m lucky that I met him early on in my life when I was 19 years old, and he has always been there for me.” Hence the change from Amanda Lambert to Amanda Erlinger.
