51-year-old Mark Wahlberg recently made a big move. He moved his family from Hollywood, California to Nevada to help them live “a better life.” Mark shares four children with his wife, Rhea Durham. They have two sons, Michael and Brendan, and two daughters, Grace and Ella. Their ages range from 12 to 19 years old.
Mark may be transitioning away from acting so much in order to spend more time with his family and on his businesses. He has already co-founded the Sport Utility Gear apparel company and hopes to build a “shoe factory and a factory for Municipal.”

He shared, “I want to be able to work from home. I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there. So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.”

He added, “So, we came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s a lot of opportunity here. I’m really excited about the future.” The family’s Los Angeles home is up for sale for $87.5 million.
Mark hopes that this big move will help him be more present with his family. He has been in many movies over the years which took him away from family time. He said, “That is the biggest challenge. Every free moment that I have, I’m at home.”
