Simon Cowell, fiancée Lauren Silverman and their 8-year-old son, Eric, recently appeared on the red carpet of America’s Got Talent season 17 finale and made beautiful memories. The family of three snapped numerous photos, with one showing Cowell pointing to his son.
The trio rocked modest looks for the occasion: Cowell wore his signature black T-shirt and trousers look, while Lauren wore a maroon one-shoulder dress with a side cutout, and their son had on a blue Lacoste T-shirt, jean trousers, and Nike sneakers.

Cowell is talking more about his son these days. He talked about the change this beautiful little human has brought to his life and the project he’s collaborating with Eric on, on The Kelly Clarkson Show last year. The talent judge and his child have been working on a series of seven books, Wishfits, about “magical and imaginary” creatures.

“To be able to write a series of books with my son Eric has been magical. This idea was inspired three years ago by a very special friend of ours who runs a children’s hospice charity,” Cowell revealed. “I told her one evening about some of the funny animals Eric and I would invent, starting with the Cog and the Dat. And how every evening, the two of us would think of the most unlikely animal we would like to have as a pet. We would come up with some very strange new animals, and the naming of the animals was Eric’s favorite thing.”
Cowell thought he would never love again until he met Eric
Kelly Clarkson found Cowell’s relationship with his son amusing, considering other people see his different side as a judge on America’s Got Talent. “I love that. That’s the juxtaposition of you doing this is so great for me. You’re like a different dude with a child,” Clarkson said, “I think the vulnerable little side of you came out when you had a kid.”
A change Cowell himself has been aware of. “Maybe,” he conceded. “After I lost my parents, I genuinely felt, Kelly, I would never feel that kind of love for anyone ever again. I thought that was it … until I saw the scan of him for the first time.”
