Christopher Castile is best known for his role as Mark Foster in Step by Step. He began acting at just seven years old appearing in several commercials. He also got one of the main roles in the first two Beethoven films. His career seemed to be going strong in the ’90s until he abruptly quit when Step by Step was canceled.
Christopher retired from acting in 1998 and said that the reason was that he felt unfulfilled by acting. So, he branched out and started on a new path. Christopher attended college in Southern California and wrote an autobiography about his life and experiences in Hollywood.
What happened to Christopher Castile?
The book, titled Being You is Most Definitely Cool, talks about being bullied as a kid and his faith. It was published in 1996 when he was just around 16 years old. After attending California State University in Long Beach he started teaching.

Christopher teaches U.S. History at Downey High School and is an adjunct professor of political science at Biola University in La Mirada, California. On the website Rate My Professor, he has pretty good reviews, with students saying that his class is very fun.
After Step by Step ended, Christopher went back to public school and met his future wife Alison there. They wed in 2002 and have two children together. While Christopher sometimes shares things on Twitter and Linkedin, the 42-year-old seems to prefer a much more private life these days.
