Whoopi Goldberg Sends ‘The View’ Co-Hosts Into Hysterics By Nearly Ending Show 20 Minutes Early

It seems like Whoopi Goldberg is still in vacation mood and doesn’t want to work anytime soon as she tried to end the Thursday episode of The View 20 minutes early. It started with her trying to end their previous segment on men who try to be funnier than their wives, and then going for broke by attempting to end the show altogether. As she announced, “Next, I wanna say, you all have been a great audience; we love that you are watching. We want you all to have a great day today. Take a little…,” she was saying before noticing something was off.

Immediately, her co-hosts and a producer sprung into action. Joy Behar signaled to the teleprompter, instructing her to check it, “Look what it says.” The confused Whoopi looked at her cue notes to try to figure out what was happening; it took a reminder from Sunny Hostin, “We got more show,” for her to get back on track.

‘The View’ is not done

Calmly, Joy Behar took over and reassured the viewers and audience that there was no cause for alarm, “We’re not done!” At this point, everyone burst into laughter, and Alyssa Farah Griffin announced the next segment, a pretaped interview with Regina Hall.  Gleefully, Hostin chimed in, “We are back in the groove!”

Despite the theatrics the other co-hosts put in to save the day, Whoopi just brushed off her act with “All right, whatever,” and then announced a break, “We’ll be back!”

The show’s fans enjoyed the moment, and they didn’t waste time giving their comments, “OMGawd… @WhoopiGoldberg ‘s on fire. More than 20 minutes left and she’s like ready to call it a day. Man, I just love this show,” one Twitter user wrote. Another said, “HA HA HA Whoopie made a whoopsie, The show’s not over.  Maybe she wants it to be??? That was FUNNY!”

“I’m DECEASED. It’s only 11:38 and Whoopi just seriously thought it was noon already and was ready to end the show thanking the audience and saying the signature ‘have a great day and take a little time to enjoy the view!’” a fan explained.
