Ron Howard is working on a memoir with his brother Clint Howard. To tease the memoir, coming out in October, he shared a throwback photo of the brothers when they were young kids. The book is called The Boys: A Memoir of Hollywood and Family. In the book, they will talk about their childhood, being raised by actors Rance and Jean Howard, and how they moved to Hollywood in 1958.
Ron tweeted the photo and wrote, “Clint and I have a lot to get off of our chests. … And my back. I can’t wait to share with you the memoir we have written together, THE BOYS, out from @WmMorrowBooks on October 12.”
Ron and Clint both started out as child actors and continued to act. They both have worked as directors as well. Clint said about the book, “Mom and dad’s teachings are treasures to this day, but I’ve realized that I took their presence for granted. Writing ‘The Boys’ with my brother has been the topper of a wonderful lifetime.”

The memoir was truly a family affair because Ron’s daughter, actress Bryce Dallas Howard also wrote the firewood for the book.
