Sharon Osbourne opens up about her quarantine weight gain

Sharon Osbourne opened up on The Talk about gaining weight during the coronavirus pandemic and how she plans to lose it. She said she has gained about 10 pounds. While 10 pounds doesn’t seem like a lot, she admitted that it is a lot when you’re only about 5’1″.

To combat the weight loss, she said she started walking and has “got the bug” for it. Sharon and the other ladies of The Talk were discussing weight gain after seeing Gayle King’s Instagram post. In the post, Gayle opened up about her weight gain and her feelings about it.

She shared candid photos of herself on a scale weighing various weights. Gayle wrote, “CRISIS! The weight struggle is real! fatter than I’ve been in long time .. & scared to get a pedicure (big sigh) swipe left for the way we were …ideal weight says Dr is 163… not happening anytime soon .. blaming corona quarantine & Halloween candy corns I just bought! Make it stop!”

Just as Sharon resonated with the post, it seems a lot of fans did as well. Many were commenting on the post with their own weight gain and steps they are now taking to get healthier. However, fellow Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood said she actually lost weight during the quarantine.

After the ladies discussed their weight issues, fitness expert Amanda Kloots came on to give some advice. She said, “My advice always is, don’t wait until Monday. You know, a lot of times [it’s like] ‘oh, I’ll wait until Monday.’ No, start today. I always say, if you have 10 minutes in your day — and we do, everyone can find 10 minutes. You can. I mean I’ll look on Instagram for 10 minutes. Work that 10 minutes. Go out, move your body.”
