Opposite Day

Opposite Day

I say up, but you go down. I go left so you go right.  As children most of us loved doing the opposite of what we’re told and what better time to do it than after declaring an “opposite day”. And once it’s on, it’s off (see what I did there…).

Seriously though, remember how saying one thing to a friend or even better an adult and knowing you meant the opposite incited a devious giggle into action. Or retroactively declaring it was opposite day to indicate that what you just said had the opposite meaning of what you actually intended.

It seems now like this once unofficial holiday has legitimized itself as today is in fact National Opposite day (or is it…). That said, were you a fan of opposite day? Do your kids or grandkids still play into this fun funny tradition? Tell us (or rather, don’t) tell about your most fun opposite day moments.
