Actress Olivia Newton-John is battling cancer. Her journey with cancer has led her to be an advocate for cancer research and new treatments. She said that the recent passing of her friend Kelly Preston has made her want to work even harder to find a cure. Kelly was the wife of Oliva's Grease co-star John Travolta. She had a two-year private battle with breast cancer and sadly passed away earlier this year. Olivia talked about how John has been doing since his wife's passing. Olivia Newton-John is working harder to raise money for cancer research after Kelly Preston's passing She said, "John is my friend and he chooses to be private about this but he's doing as well as anyone can be after losing their wife. Kelly, she was the most wonderful, beautiful, radiant mother and woman and losing her is incredibly sad." She is also an advocate of the use of marijuana to treat the side effects of cancer treatments. After Kelly died, Olivia said, "It really strengthens my resolve to do what I'm doing so I can find other ways to treat cancer. We all want to see an end to it. So that's going to keep me going." She has auctions to raise money for her charity. Olivia shared, "That\u2019s my dream. That\u2019s my goal \u2013 to find different kinds of therapy for cancer and to see if we can get to a point where we can control cancer and live with it, like diabetes and other conditions. Immunotherapy is showing some promise, but ultimately we want to find treatments that don\u2019t poison the body."
