Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus have officially confirmed their relationship after weeks of quiet speculation. The British actress and the American country musician took to Instagram on Easter Sunday to share a joint photo that sent fans into a frenzy. In the photo, Cyrus wore lime green bunny ears and kissed Hurley on the cheek as they leaned against a wooden fence in what appeared to be an open field. Hurley looked relaxed and happy as she donned a cowboy hat. The caption, “Happy Easter” with a heart emoji, was short but meaningful, sparking widespread reactions. Damian Hurley, Elizabeth’s son, dropped a heart emoji in support, while other celebrities reacted with surprise and curiosity. The post marked the first public acknowledgment of their relationship. Though neither Hurley nor Cyrus has commented beyond the post, it was enough to confirm what many had been suspecting from recent clues. 62-year-old Cyrus has had a publicly eventful year as he filed for divorce from Australian singer Firerose, just seven months after they were married last year. Their split came after two years of dating and shortly after his long marriage to Tish Cyrus ended. Tish is the mother of his five children, including pop star Miley Cyrus, and had been with him for 29 years before they separated in 2022. Billy Ray Cyrus finds new love with Elizabeth Hurley after a tumultuous year View this post on Instagram A post shared by Elizabeth Hurley (@elizabethhurley1) Cyrus’ relationship with Hurley appears to mark a turning point for him. In early April, fans noticed a video on Hurley’s Instagram featuring Cyrus’s 1993 ballad “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore.” Though subtle, the choice of song and the setting, which was a romantic beach in the Maldives, hinted at something more than admiration for his music. Like Cyrus, Hurley's love life is also well-documented. She was in a 13-year relationship with British actor Hugh Grant before they amicably split in 2000. She then married Indian businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2010, after which she engaged the late Australian cricketer Shane Warne until 2013. Billy Ray Cyrus/Instagram Hurley has remained close to some of her ex-partners and has often spoken about maintaining friendships beyond romance. As for Cyrus, this new relationship follows years of public scrutiny around his family life. His earlier marriage was at the center of multiple media cycles, especially during Miley Cyrus’s rise to stardom. Elizabeth Hurley/Instagram After separating from Tish, he kept a relatively low profile until his quick marriage and divorce from Firerose reignited public interest. His new connection with Hurley brings together two stars from different worlds, country music and British film, in a relationship few saw coming. However, the ease shown in their recent photo and the growing trail of interactions suggest a bond that’s been forming quietly for some time. The Instagram debut felt like a formal announcement rather than a first spark, signaling they are ready to engage the public’s curiosity. Fans have reacted with both shock and excitement, and while some were left wondering how the two stars met, others were genuinely delighted that both found love again after such dramatic pasts. Neither has publicly commented on future plans or talked about their relationship in interviews, but the Easter post may be the beginning of a new public chapter. Nevertheless, given both their background in showbiz, a musical or red carpet crossover would not be impossible. With Hurley, Cyrus seems to be embarking on a light-hearted, carefree stage of life, and the public is watching keenly. The new relationship serves to show that it is never too late to have a fresh start, even after spending years under the spotlight's intense glare.
