Carl Dean, the fiercely private husband of country music icon Dolly Parton, has died at the age of 82. Parton announced his passing today on social media. A Nashville native, Dean was born to Edgar “Ed” Henry Dean and Virginia "Ginny" Bates Dean. He and Parton were married in 1966, maintaining a steadfast partnership for nearly six decades.
