For millions of viewers, Step by Step was a staple of ABC's beloved TGIF lineup throughout the 1990s. The family sitcom followed two single parents who blended their households, creating plenty of laughs, heartfelt moments, and sibling rivalries along the way. Led by Suzanne Somers and Patrick Duffy, the series became one of the era's most memorable family comedies. Part of the show's appeal came from its relatable premise. His portrayal of Frank Lambert balanced easygoing humor with genuine warmth, making him one of television's most memorable sitcom dads of the 1990s. Fans have continued to embrace Duffy's work across decades of television, from primetime dramas to daytime soaps. Meanwhile, Suzanne Somers expanded her career far beyond acting. In addition to starring on television, she wrote health books, promoted wellness products, launched a skincare line, and competed on Dancing with the Stars. Staci Keanan, however, left acting behind, earned a law degree, and now teaches law after serving as a prosecutor. While some performers remained in front of cameras, others discovered passions in law, education, business, and other professions, proving that success isn't limited to staying in the entertainment industry. Brandon Call entered business after stepping away from acting, Josh Byrne left Hollywood completely, and Christopher Castile pursued a career in education. Angela Watson later focused on supporting former child performers through advocacy work, while Sasha Mitchell explored careers in martial arts, welding, and computer engineering. Consequently, Step by Step cast members have shown that success can take many different forms. Whether they remained in entertainment or chose entirely new directions, they continue to hold a special place in the hearts of fans who still remember TGIF's golden era. The cast has also reunited on several occasions through conventions, interviews, and television specials, giving longtime fans the chance to see the sitcom family together again.
