Well, it turns out that the legendary Barbara Eden is okay with an I Dream of Jeannie reboot, even if it doesn't include her. \u201cIt would have to be different,\u201d she tells PEOPLE magazine. \u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t think you\u2019d ever copy something, but it\u2019s a good idea.\u201d\r\n\r\nThe beloved show ran from September 18, 1965, to May 26, 1970, with new episodes and through September 1970 with reruns. Eden would star alongside Larry Hagman as we watch their relationship blossom. Eden also shares a piece of advice she would give to a new, modern-day Jeannie. She says, \u201cJust follow your own road. Do what you\u2019re comfortable doing. You find your own truth.\u201d\r\nAn 'I Dream of Jeannie' Reboot - Yay or nay?\r\n\r\n\r\nEden says she still has fond memories of her co-star, Larry Hagman. She says that wine and chocolate are her guilty pleasures, but she enjoys working out\u00a0for some extra activity. \u201cI go to the gym, and I have a trainer,\u201d she says. \u201cIt used to be spinning. I don\u2019t do that anymore. I stopped that. I loved it but it\u2019s not good for your knees so I stopped. Now I do weights and I walk around a track.\u201d\r\nHow she feels about her role today\r\n\r\n\r\nEden also tells news outlets that to this day, she is still incredibly grateful to have a magical alter ego. She stresses that she never felt 'typecast' because of her success in the role. \u201cBecause after I did \u2018I Dream of Jeannie,\u2019 I did at least two other television shows. And I don\u2019t know how many television movies playing entirely different kinds of people. I was so busy."\r\n\r\nShe continues, "So, I didn\u2019t feel that I was ever typecast. In fact, I wasn\u2019t. \u2018Jeannie\u2019 just so happens to be one people remember and that\u2019s all right with me.\u201d\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nJust four years ago was the 50th anniversary of the show.
