Gammons said the 70-year-old โRay Donovanโย alum wants to relaxย and simplify his lifeย by selling his many real estate holdings on both coasts,ย theย Providence Journalย reported. He added that since Woods’ brother and mother recently died, the veteran actorย hopes to spend more time on passions including photography, antiquing and poker.
The $1.39-millionย property sitsย on Boone Lake in Exeter and is one of Woodsโย four Rhode Island homes, the Journal said.ย It includes two lakefront houses andย has been in the Woods family for decades.ย Woods will also keep a pied-ร -Terreย in the state, he added.
The outspokenย conservative actor, whose major credits include โCasino,โย โOnce Upon a Time in America,โ โRudy,โ โToo Big to Failโย and his Oscar-nominated turns inย 1986’s โSalvadorโ andย 1996โs โGhosts of Mississippi,โย has said his political viewsย have made it challengingย to find work in Hollywood. However, Gammons said Woodsโย decision to retireย was not political.
The move comes on the heels ofย last monthโs Twitterย brouhahaย with Armie Hammer andย Amber Tamblyn, who accused Woods of hitting on her when she was 16 โ an allegation that he called a lie.
