61-Year-Old Paulina Porizkova Refuses To ‘Go Silent’ In Candid New Social Media Post

by Ruth A

Published October 3, 2026

Paulina Porizkova has spent years speaking openly about beauty, confidence, and getting older, and her latest message may be one of her most direct yet. The 61-year-old supermodel recently shared a candid Instagram video about the way society treats women as they age and why she believes older women still deserve to take up space.

According to People, the Paulina Porizkova aging conversation focused on what she sees as a frustrating double standard. While she called growing older a privilege, Porizkova also argued that women often face pressure to either fade quietly into the background or pursue cosmetic procedures in order to remain visible.

In the video, Porizkova addressed women who regularly thank her for talking honestly about aging. She said those responses still surprise her and suggested that many women appreciate simply knowing they are not alone in feeling conflicted about getting older.

Porizkova then questioned why aging should mean stepping away from public life. She argued that women actually have more experience and perspective to offer as they grow older, asking why they cannot continue to have a place “at the main table.” Rather than ending with frustration, she turned the conversation toward community. Porizkova asked her followers what kind of content makes them feel inspired and supported, and she encouraged women to celebrate others who remain unapologetically themselves.

From ’80s Supermodel to Advocate for Aging Honestly

Porizkova became one of the most recognizable models of the 1980s after consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit covers in 1984 and 1985. In later years, she increasingly used her platform to discuss confidence, body image, grief, aging, and beauty standards. She explored those themes further in her 2022 essay collection No Filter: The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful.

Her personal life has also entered a new chapter. Porizkova married writer Jeff Greenstein in July, adding another milestone to a period she has often framed around growth and reinvention. The latest Paulina Porizkova aging message fits naturally into that larger story. Once known primarily for magazine covers and fashion campaigns, she now uses much of her public voice to challenge the idea that women become less relevant with age. For longtime fans, that evolution may be just as memorable as her modeling career. Porizkova is still talking about beauty, but these days, she seems far more interested in who gets to define it.
