Fans who remember watching Bindi Irwin grow up alongside her famous father, Steve Irwin, may feel like they are seeing history repeat itself. Recent throwback photos of Bindi as a child have drawn attention to just how much her 5-year-old daughter, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, resembles her.
According to Yahoo Entertainment, the Bindi Irwin daughter comparison became especially striking after Terri Irwin shared a collection of family photos on Instagram. One black-and-white image showed 9-year-old Bindi after winning Best New Television Female Talent Host at the 2008 Logie Awards. With her round cheeks, bright smile, and familiar features, young Bindi looks remarkably similar to Grace today.
Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Looks Just Like Her Mom

Grace shares many of her mother’s most recognizable childhood features, including a similar face shape, button nose, brunette hair, and wide smile. Photos from Grace’s fifth birthday only strengthened the comparison, especially images showing mother and daughter cuddling together and smiling for the camera. As Grace grows older, their resemblance appears increasingly noticeable.
The similarities go beyond looks. Grace already shows the same excitement around wildlife that audiences once saw in Bindi during her early years at Australia Zoo and on “Bindi the Jungle Girl.” Bindi regularly shares videos of her daughter feeding and interacting with animals, including an echidna named Bella that formed an unusually close bond with Grace. Terri has also praised her granddaughter’s special connection with animals after spending decades working with wildlife herself.
Grace Is Already Carrying on the Irwin Family Spirit
Bindi became a familiar face to viewers while appearing alongside Steve Irwin and later building her own television career. She eventually competed on “Dancing With the Stars” at 17 and won the competition. Her younger brother Robert Irwin later followed the same path, keeping another part of the family’s entertainment legacy alive. Grace has already brought some of her own personality into that world. During a visit to Robert’s “Dancing With the Stars” rehearsal, she arrived wearing a sparkling green dress and excitedly showed her uncle how it twirled. Her playful confidence and curiosity reminded fans of the spirited young Bindi they first met decades ago.
For longtime Irwin followers, the Bindi Irwin daughter resemblance offers more than a cute family comparison. Viewers watched Bindi grow from an energetic child exploring wildlife with her dad into a conservationist, wife, and mother. Now Grace appears to be developing that same love for animals and sense of adventure. The photos create a sweet full-circle moment for the Irwin family. Grace may have inherited her mother’s smile and features, but she also seems to be carrying forward the enthusiasm for wildlife that has defined three generations of the family.
