According to InStyle, the announcement of the new Paramount+ series has reignited excitement surrounding Alicia Silverstone Clueless’s memories. To celebrate the news, Christian Siriano posted a video from 2023 showing Silverstone wearing a modern version of Cher’s famous yellow plaid skirt suit. Complete with knee-high white socks and black platform Mary Janes, the outfit instantly transported fans back to Beverly Hills High.

Additionally, Siriano described recreating the costume as one of his favorite memories and congratulated Silverstone on returning to the role that launched her career. Consequently, the nostalgic video generated fresh excitement for the upcoming sequel series, which will reportedly follow Cher as she navigates motherhood while raising a teenage daughter.

Costume designer Mona May has often explained that classic school uniforms inspired Cher’s signature look.
