Published May 14, 2026

The cast of Full House may have finished filming decades ago, but the friendships formed behind the scenes remain stronger than ever. Actress Andrea Barber recently shared that the former sitcom stars still stay in close contact and frequently remember their late castmate Bob Saget together.

Barber, who played Kimmy Gibbler on the beloved series, explained that many of the actors still communicate through a group chat filled with memories, jokes, and stories from their years working together. She said conversations about Saget happen often because the cast still deeply misses him.

The actor, who played Danny Tanner on Full House, died in 2022 at the age of 65. His sudden death deeply affected the cast, many of whom spent more time together during the 1980s and 1990s than they did with their own families while filming the series. Barber said the cast still often asks themselves what kind of joke Saget would make in certain situations. She also believes he would have loved the modern era of fan conventions and reunion events because he enjoyed celebrating the close-knit family atmosphere shared by the cast.

Barber currently cohosts the Full House rewatch podcast How Rude, Tanneritos, alongside former castmate Jodie Sweetin. She also attended Candace Cameron Bure’s recent birthday celebration, showing that friendships within the cast remain strong despite occasional disagreements among different members. Entertainment Weekly noted that Saget’s passing also reunited many members of the extended television family. According to Sweetin, spending time together again after his death felt natural, as though nothing had changed despite the many years that had passed.
