Heather Locklear had a sentimental walk down memory lane when she reunited with her former Melrose Place co-stars Courtney Thorne-Smith, Daphne Zuniga, and Laura Leighton. In a special two-part episode of their rewatch podcast, Still the Place, the actress — who is most known for her role as Amanda Woodward on the popular series — joined her former castmates.
They shared memories, laughed, and reflected on their time together on set during the reunion. Locklear talked about her signature look during the discussion. The short skirts that became a distinctive feature of Amanda Woodward’s appearance were part of her sophisticated professional wardrobe.

Locklear joked about how short some of her skirts were during filming and acknowledged that she occasionally felt too exposed when sitting down. Although the outfit contributed to her character’s self-assured and dominant demeanor, it also presented difficulties. When her co-stars asked if she ever had wardrobe mistakes, she laughed and brushed off the notion of wearing old granny underwear underneath.
Locklear liked her clothes from Melrose Place, even though they were sometimes uncomfortable. After the production, she actually preserved everything in her collection, clinging to the items that typified Amanda Woodward’s style. Her daughter, Ava Sambora, has worn some of those dresses over the years.
Did Heather have a close relationship with the other cast in ‘Melrose Place?’
Although she was constantly focused on her work during the series, Locklear revealed that she maintained close relationships with her co-stars. One of her most notable friendships was with her co-star and ex-fiance, Jack Wagner. She dated Wagner from 2007 to 2011, and despite their short engagement, they had a strong relationship.
Locklear acknowledged that although she loved working with the ensemble, she was frequently distracted by learning lines and getting ready for her challenging role. There was little opportunity for close friendships on set because of the fast-paced nature of recording 30-episode seasons.
