Erin Murphy and her twin sister Diane played the role of Tabitha in Bewitched, but only for a short time, as Erin took over the role completely. She became close with her TV parents, Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York. Her relationship with the late Elizabeth blossomed beyond filming, and Erin recalled being treated like one of her kids.
Erin also shared fun memories with her TV grandmother Agnes Moorehead, who was rumored to have been unhappy filming Bewitched. Erin debunked these claims, clarifying that the four-time Oscar-nominated actress was like another parent figure to her and even left her jewelry in her will.
Where is Tabitha from ‘Bewitched’ now?
After Bewitched, Erin continued to be a regular face on TV, appearing on shows and in hundreds of commercials. She explored her talents across different areas, working as a casting director, makeup artist, stylist, acting tutor, public speaker, and even did stunts for actress Virginia Madsen.
A decade ago, Erin went into business, co-owning a low-calorie vodka martini pop company named Slim Chillers. Through these times, Erin got married thrice and is currently with her third husband, Darren Dunckel, with whom she shares three children in addition to three from her previous marriages.

What was Erin Murphy’s relationship like with Dick York?
Dick played Tabitha’s dad, Darrin, until 1969 due to health issues, but the little time spent with Erin was worthwhile. He got replaced with Dick Sargent, who also got along with Erin as with the other adults on the show. In Erin’s opinion, Sargent’s portrayal of Darrin came with more anger, and she preferred her original TV father.
Erin is grateful to have taken on the role of Tabitha, as it only led to good things from her younger years until adulthood. Decades later, Bewitched still has loyal fans rerunning episodes and referencing the show on social media. Erin is the only surviving member of the cast since Elizabeth’s passing in 1995 at 65.
