Carol Burnett is not just a household name in comedy she’s also a mother of three successful adult daughters. She had her Carrie, Jody, and Erin with her second husband, Joe Hamilton, a producer on The Carol Burnett Show. Their marriage lasted for about two decades until 1984 when Carol decided she had had enough of him being too busy for her.
Burnett tried to keep her daughters out of the spotlight with the belief that they should have their own space to shine. She encouraged them to find their passions instead of relying on her fame, and all three achieved a level of success in their various fields.
Where are Carol Burnett’s children now?
Carol’s first daughter, Carrie, pursued her passion for music and acting, which she studied at Pepperdine University. She started in shows like Fame, the film Tokyo Pop, and even sang with her own band. Carrie also teamed up with her mom to write Hollywood Arms, a play based on Burnett’s memoir. Sadly, she passed away in 2002 at just 38 after a battle with cancer.
Jody, her second daughter, was the producer behind some of Burnett’s projects, and she co-founded a film company to support independent artists with her late sister Carrie. She now lives in Los Angeles with her husband.
