Dave Coulier gave a shocking health update during a recent chat with PEOPLE Magazine, revealing that he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkins lymphoma last month. This came after he experienced swollen lymph nodes on his sides due to a respiratory infection.
Before going public with the sad news, Dave reached out to his Full House costars including Candace Cameron Bure and John Stamos. Bure and Stamos paid tribute to Dave via a heartfelt message on social media, assuring him and his wife, Melissa Coulier, of their support.

There is hope for Dave Coulier
Although the news of Dave’s cancer has raised concerns among his fans and loved ones, his doctor revealed the disease has a 90% chance of getting cured after his bone marrow test results returned negative. The 65-year-old started treatments immediately and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Dave also appeared on the ensuing episode of his Full House Rewind podcast with his head shaved, noting that he wants to handle this challenging phase head-on and publicly. The sitcom star is making a conscious effort to stay positive for Melissa, his son Luc, and his first grandchild on the way.
