Dave Coulier is currently battling stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is a type of cancer that affects the lymph nodes around the diaphragm or spleen. The 65-year-old told People in a new interview that he dismissed his symptoms at first, thinking it was a mere head cold.
Dave’s lymph nodes started to swell up rapidly, with one area growing to the size of a golf ball. After some scans and a biopsy, doctors informed him about his very aggressive form of lymphoma, leaving him shocked at the twist of fate.

Dave Coulier has a family history of cancer
Despite losing his mother, sister, and niece to breast cancer, Dave admits to feeling a calmness and assurance that he will be declared cancer-free soon. Thankfully, he received an encouraging update after his bone marrow test results came back negative.
Dave’s doctor said his chances of being cured have moved up to 90%, which is great news for a swift recovery. The father of one said his wife, Melissa Bring, and their friends in the medical field have been supportive so far, as they immediately drew up a treatment plan once they learned about the diagnosis. Dave promised to be open about his health on his podcast going forward, hence why he ditched his signature hat to show off his shaved head.
