Melissa Gilbert and her Little House on the Prairie co-stars, Alison Arngrim, Karen Grassle, Dean Butler, Charlotte Stewart, and Matthew Labyorteaux, pulled out of a lineup of the show’s anniversary events due to poor planning from the organizers.
Melissa, who played Laura Ingalls Wilder in the nine-season show, is out for war against the fraudulent promoter who keeps pushing the canceled Little House events. The organizer, Jack Bishop, and his company, Gravel Road Markets LLC, have received several warnings from the cast to desist from promoting the events but have yet to adhere.
Melissa Gilbert calls out Jack Bishop
Jack went as far as telling fans that Melissa was a co-producer of the Little House tour, despite her efforts to have the information taken down. She noted that people were buying tickets to see her, not knowing she had opted out of the events, which is why she has taken to social media to debunk the false information.
Customers have also complained about Gravel Road Market LLC, admitting that they have a reputation for creating low-quality events where food runs out, vendors get owed their wages, and Jack continues selling tickets even after full capacity.
The Little House cast has taken responsibility for fans’ troubles, sending out apologies and statements to affected attendees. Some have responded on social media, calling out Jack and his company and even offering to organize another for the disappointed castmates. “I’d do it justice and do you proud,” someone assured Melissa.
Another recalled attempting to get tickets, adding that it was a blessing in disguise that she could not. “We all know how much the cast members love the fans; it seems they were dissatisfied with how the events played out and want better for those in attendance. It’s very considerate of them,” a third fan quipped in defense of Melissa and her costars.
