Danielle Colby, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz used to be a trio on American Pickers until early 2020 when Fritz had to recover from back surgery. Sadly, it was Fritz’s last appearance, leaving Wolfe and Colby to continue the show in 2021.
Fans hoped for a potential comeback, which is now impossible as Fritz was confirmed dead last month. Wolfe has confirmed that the subsequent American Pickers season will be dedicated to Fritz, who appeared on the show for ten years.
Mike Wolfe pays tribute to Frank Fritz
Wolfe finally broke his silence over Frtiz’s death via an Instagram post, which was a clip from the upcoming season. “It’s has taken me a long time to figure out what I was going to say or if I even wanted to post that we have new episodes starting tomorrow night,” he announced.
Although they have been making episodes without Fritz for four years straight, it feels different knowing there is no hope for his return. Wolfe promised to make every part of the upcoming seasons with Fritz in mind as they tour America for surprising finds.
Danielle Colby responds to Mike Wolfe’s tribute
Colby was in the comments of Wolfe’s heartfelt post, alongside fans who consoled the co-stars for their loss. “I love you brother,” he wrote, while Wolfe responded the same. Joining Colby and Wolfe on the show this season is Jersey Jon and Wolfe’s brother Robbie.
Fritz’s manager, Bill Stankey, also shared his tribute on social media, calling the late TV personality an exceptional person. “He loved life, he cared about people, he always had a kind word to say, and he knew more about Americana and antiques than anyone I ever met,” he wrote.
