Dustin Hoffman was out and about in New York City last weekend, and he looked almost unrecognizable with facial hair, unlike his signature clean shave. The cameras blew his cover as he tried to disguise himself behind a baseball hat and a pair of sunglasses, which complemented his laid-back look.
The multiple-award-winning actor sported a blue button-down shirt rolled up at the sleeves, black jean pants, and white sneakers as he strolled the Big Apple with a book in hand. Hoffman appeared to be alone at the time, as his wife, Lisa, was not spotted during this walk.

Hoffman started his career with theater roles, before transitioning to film, earning him outstanding accolades, including two Oscar awards for 1979’s Kramer vs. Kramer and Rain Man ten years later. Despite his career getting slowed down by throat cancer in 2013, he bounced back after successful treatment to keep making waves in the entertainment industry.
The father of three has not only made a name for himself, but he has also inspired screen stars like Kathy Bates, Jack Nicholson, and Elizabeth Marvel, who said his work is never less than extraordinary during the 2017 Gotham Awards ceremony. However, Hoffman’s career has also been punctuated by controversies, including sexual misconduct allegations from seven women.

There have been rumors about Hoffman’s retirement after Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, which premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in May. Hoffman played Nush Berman in the Sci-fi movie, which also stars Adam Driver, Shia LaBeouf, Grace VanderWaal, Aubrey Plaza, Chloe Fineman, and Jon Voight.
Despite speculations about Megalopolis being his final film, Hoffman seems to be gearing up for another role in a new crime thriller, Tuner, and has another soon-to-be-release project titled Lucca Mortis. The 87-year-old also voiced Master Shifu in Kung Fu Panda 4 and attended the premiere with Lisa and their two adorable grandkids.
