Randy Jackson got his fans talking after his appearance on an episode of Fox’s Name That Tune show. He sat at the piano wearing a white shirt underneath a black blazer, which he accessorized with a shiny lapel pin, beaded bracelets and a pair of glasses.
Although Randy looked well put together, his fans were not at all impressed due to his gaunt appearance. He maintained a relaxed demeanor throughout the program, but that did not stop his followers from expressing their concerns over his health.

Randy reportedly lost about 120 Lbs, after which he subtly showed off his weight loss on Live with Kelly and Mark last year. Rather than getting filmed while strutting into the studio, his session began with him already seated, causing a few fans to call out the unusual occurrence.

More recently, his Instagram followers have been vocal about their concerns for his wellbeing, asking him to be wary of whatever weightloss procedure he was on. “Is that… randy jackson?? my god that ozempic is killing him, take a breath brother,” someone wrote. “Randy is very bizarre looking. Scary,” another added.
Randy’s weight loss journey
Randy weighed as heavy as 350 Lbs until he underwent gastric bypass surgery after getting diagnosed with Type diabetes in 2003. He has since managed to keep the weight off but gained some pounds in between. The 68-year-old is now committed to living a healthier lifestyle by eating clean.
He confessed to struggling with emotional eating, which contributed significantly to his being overweight. Randy has had to give up his favorite meals like sausage and grits, bread pudding, beignets, snacks, and alcohol for healthier meals like frozen yogurt, protein shakes, and smaller food portions. He also walks the treadmill for up to 45 minutes daily and does regular yoga to keep active.
