The possibility of a biopic about Ann-Margret keeps getting stronger as the Hollywood glamor queen herself recently approved of Lindsay Lohan playing her. This is a dream come true for Lohan, who previously expressed her interest in portraying Ann months back.
Lohan looks forward to doing justice to her role, noting that Ann-Margret is a triple threat and an amazing woman. Likely, she has finally found a fitting writer for the movie, whose role she was looking to fill in March to bring her creative ideas to life.
Ann-Margret gushes about Lohan
Ann-Margret did not only give Lohan the go-ahead to play her, but the 83-year-old also had nice things to say about the actress. She admitted that no one else comes to mind as a fitting “Ann” other than Lohan, who is rumored to be making a comeback on Freaky Friday 2 and Our Little Secret.

As a cherry on top, Ann-Margret is willing to work with Lohan and help her prepare, as telling her story needs time and dedication. Lohan feels honored to have received Ann’s blessings and has her eye on an Oscar or Emmy award for her upcoming projects. She believes telling Ann-Margret’s story will influence her career positively and push her toward her goal.
Back to work
Lohan took a break from Hollywood after facing a series of legal and financial issues in Los Angeles. She moved to London in 2012 and then made it to Dubai with her family, where she lived paparazzi-free. The 38-year-old recalled feeling overwhelmed by the media and badly needed her privacy, hence the decade-long break.
She made her comeback with Netflix’ Falling for Christmas and Irish Wish and is looking to show off her ability to recreate legends’ lives for the second time after portraying Elizabeth Taylor in 2012’s Liz & Dick. It has been a busy year for the new mom, who welcomed her first child with Bader Shammas last year.
