Ozzy Osbourne’s scheduled appearance at the upcoming Mad Monster Party has been canceled due to his worsening battle with Parkinson’s disease and recovery from spinal surgery. The event was meant to be a family affair with his wife and manager Sharon and their kids Jack and Kelly present; however, Sharon has stayed back to tend to Ozzy.
An insider revealed that Ozzy’s incurable condition has affected his motor skills so badly that he was unable to make the short trip by private jet from Los Angeles to Phoenix for the convention. He is said to be experiencing episodes of stiffness and frozen muscles, hindering his ability to move.
Ozzy Osbourne has remained bedridden so far as Parkinson’s worsens
More information from sources revealed that the Prince of Darkness has been confined to bed and a wheelchair in recent times and still suffers pain from the ATV accident that happened two decades ago. Ozzy nearly died at 55 when the vehicle crashed in his estate back in London. The incident left him with a broken collarbone, eight fractured ribs, and damaged vertebrae in his neck.

To make matters even more complicated, Ozzy suffered a fall in 2019 that dislodged the metal rods in his neck from the previous surgery, which kept him hospitalized for two months and unable to tour that year. In 2020, he opened up about his Parkinson’s diagnosis, for which he began stem cell therapy to manage the disease’s progression.
Forced retirement
Ozzy has been forced to retire earlier than he would love to despite his efforts to continue entertaining fans amid his debilitating state. It took him a lot to back down, as he remained insistent on performing against his management’s suggestions. The Black Sabbath frontman eventually conceded and hopped off the tour bus last year as he came to terms with his condition.
Sharon has remained supportive through these difficult times, noting that it has been heartbreaking watching her vibrant lover become a shadow of himself. While apologizing to fans for the recent cancellation of Ozzy’s meet and greet at the Phoenix festival for horror and science fiction fans, Sharon promised a refund of their $666 and their son Jack’s presence instead.
