John Fogerty gave anticipating fans a peek into his rehearsals ahead of his Celebration Tour starting June 2nd. The former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman shared a clip of himself playing 2004’s “I Will Walk with You” from his solo album, Deja Vu All Over Again.
The clip was even more interesting as John’s adorable dog, Creedence, watched on adoringly as his owner showed off his country singing and guitar skills. “‘I Will Walk With You’ from rehearsals for the upcoming Celebration Tour (with a special guest — our dog, Creedence) … Come catch it live this summer on the road with George Thorogood and Hearty Har!” his caption reads.

The Rock Hall of Fame inductee announced the tour in March, listing his first stop at the CCNB Amphitheatre in Simpsonville, South Carolina, and wrapping up in September at the Utah State Fairgrounds in Salt Lake City, Utah. Concertgoers can look forward to live renditions of “Fortunate Son,” “Who’ll Stop The Rain,” “Down On The Corner,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Proud Mary,” and more classics as the singer-songwriter and his crew get on the road.
It is not John’s first time teasing his followers with a rehearsal clip, as he previously shared a video of him practicing “Change in the Weather” from 1986’s Eye of the Zombie, which he last performed in 2009. Reactions were similar, as social media users expressed their excitement ahead of the shows. “Whoa, yeah!! Change in the weather!! I haven’t heard that song in a long time!!! Glad to hear it’s coming around for the Celebration Tour!!! It’s sounding fresh and good!!!” someone stated.
This is the 78-year-old’s first time performing his own songs to an audience after the recent majority interest buy of his CCR song catalog. It is also an acknowledgement of his five-decade career, which saw him as the founder of the CCR rock band and a respected influence in the rock genre. John is recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers and is an inductee of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Baseball Hall of Fame.
