Modern Family star Ed O’Neill attended the official launch of Hulu on Disney+ last Friday. The TV dad was accompanied by his daughter, Claire, whom he shares with his wife, Catherine Russoff. Fans were glad to see the 18-year-old, as she is hardly spotted in public.
The adorable teen strutted the red carpet in a black strapless gown, a matching shawl, and a pair of strappy heels. Meanwhile, Ed stood proudly beside his last child in a blue check shirt, a blue blazer, and black pants. He shares his two daughters, Sophia and Claire with his wife, and they’ve been married since 1986.

Ed and Catherine had Claire in 2006 after being married for two decades. The couple were last photographed with their kids in 2016 during the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. However, his other daughter Sophia appeared on a 2019 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show where Ed made a revelation that was visibly embarrassing for her.

While speaking with show host Ellen DeGeneres, Ed admitted to kissing Sophia’s celebrity crush, Dylan O’Brien, in the comedy series Weird City. “I was working with Dylan O’Brien, who’s a young, handsome actor, who my daughter has a slight crush on, and in the story, we kiss. And she had to witness this and was very upset that it was me and not her,” he explained.
Like in real life, Ed has been a fitting dad in shows like Married…With Children and Modern Family. Sharing his thoughts with Capital And Main, the actor claimed his experiences were different on both shows. “‘Married with Children’ was a little bit more outrageous— a little bit more crude comedy, and ‘Modern Family’ is a little bit more classy,” he explained, adding that the latter was “a little more realistic.”
He also recalled being way younger when he played Al in the eleven-season ‘90s classic. “‘Married With Children’ sometimes really got into a cartoon type of thing. And, of course, on ‘Married With Children,’ Al was never getting out of that marriage, so that was kind of a sentence,” Ed joked. “And he was younger. I should say, I was younger.”
