Kelly Osbourne has been a mother for a year now. Her son, Sidney, who she shares with Slipknot musician Sid Wilson, just celebrated his first birthday, and in honor of the occasion, Kelly penned a vulnerable tribute to him that captures all the feelings of motherhood.
It was mom Sharon Osbourne who announced the arrival of the newest member of the family. “She won’t let a picture go out of him, and I’m so proud of her,” she informed fans on The Talk. In an Instagram Story, Kelly herself followed up with “I am not ready to share him with the world. It is no one’s place but mine to share any information on my baby.” Now, she has had a year to bask in this new phase of life and has a profound message for her baby boy.

“This past year has been the most magical year of my life for one reason,” said Kelly in an Instagram post that went live on Monday. “That reason is you baby Sidney. To watch you grow, learn and become a little man is the greatest joy I have ever felt.”

She continued, “The most magical bond I have ever experienced is the bond I feel with you. Before you love was just a word that I thought I understood. NOW I truly understand what love is. I am forever indebted to you for teaching me the beauty meaning and truth of love. What more can I say other than I love you. Happy birthday sweet price. We made it on our first trip around the sun together.”

With a birthday so near the spooky season, Sidney’s first birthday bash was Halloween-themed. Additional footage from the big day shows decor themed around the holiday, complete with a colorful, spooky cake.
“Thank you @littlespoon for making Sidney’s birthday so special!’ she said in a shoutout on Instagram, referring to the Little Spoon brand that appears to have sponsored the celebration. ” His favorite go to healthy snacks were a hit for him, his friends, and even the adults.”
Osbourne has also revealed, in her time spent bonding with baby Sidney, that “He’s funny. It’s weird to me how I look at him and he’s like 18 weeks old and he does things that are just really funny.”
