Paula Abdul says her new age has changed her outlook on life
Recently, Abdul engaged in a conversation with PEOPLE magazine during the Lead with Love 4 fundraising event organized by Project Angel Food in 2023, where she reflected on her life. The singer claimed that her new age, which she just marked, has changed her perspectives about several things. She stated that she is now intentional about leaving her mark on the world, especially by changing her attitude toward others.

“Being 60 this past year was such an incredible trajectory change for me, of really wanting to build and leave a legacy behind,” Abdul confessed to the news outlet. “That of kindness and support and helping others who can’t stand up for themselves, to learn to how to combat bullies, to have the self-assuredness that you can do anything that you put your mind to. Talent is only half of it. It’s the perseverance, the stick-to-itness, and undying belief in yourself.”
The singer is not slowing down anytime soon
The former American Idol judge declared her unwavering commitment to maintaining an active pace, firmly asserting that she has no intentions of leaving the entertainment industry yet. “I’ve only scratched the surface, and that’s how I feel,” Abdul admitted. “People go, ‘She’s got more lives than a cat.’ For me, I’m a tenacious little attack hamster. I love doing what I do, and I love spreading joy.”
Abdul also revealed that she has a lot of projects in the works. “I have a couple of television projects I’m producing,” she explained. “I’m taking part in a couple of new pilots. I am building live shows as well.”
