English rock band Def Leppard and American rock band Mötley Crüe are currently on a global tour across Latin America and Europe. As the bands travel the world, Nikki Sixx, co-founder and bassist of Mötley Crüe, is having family time with his 3-year-old daughter, Ruby, and his wife, Courtney, who both accompanied him on the tour.
The 64-year-old is also a proud father to sons Gunner, Decker, and Storm, who he shares with his ex-wife, Brandi Brandt, and daughter, Frankie-Jean, from his marriage to Donna D’Errico.
Nikki Sixx says he is thrilled to have his daughter on his tour
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 64-year-old expressed his gratitude for being able to have his daughter, Ruby, during his work travels across Europe. “I get to be a dad and a rockstar all in the same 24 hours, and honestly, I don’t know which one I work harder at but I love it,” Sixx admitted to the news outlet. “My older kids are either in college or working and having Ruby out on the road keeps my head grounded.”

He also explained that having his family with him on the tour was one of the conditions written in his contract. “Part of the agreement for me to get out and tour again is if I can take my family with me,” Sixx confessed.
Nikki Sixx says he and his daughter, Ruby now have a preshow ritual
Sixx further disclosed that he and Ruby have developed a pre-show ritual that they follow before each of his performances. “One of Ruby and my favorite things to do is the ‘king walk’ from dad’s dressing room to the stage. She always holds my hand and sings ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’ but [then] breaks into ‘Wild Side,'” he stated. “She makes me play it on repeat in the car.”
Courtney added that Ruby enjoys imitating her father’s onstage appearances. “Cutest thing ever is watching daddy put his stage makeup on her,” she explained, “and watching her put matching sparkle tape on her shoes.”
