The real-life house featured in the 1989 film Steel Magnolias is now a bed-and-breakfast and we all can get a chance to stay in this charming little house. Sally Field, Julia Roberts, Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis, Dolly Parton, and Daryl Hannah were the group of ladies that graced our screens with stories of love, hardship, and friendship.
So, if you’re looking for a little vacation trip away with your girlfriends, this might be the next destination for you! Take a trip to the town of Natchitoches, Louisiana and book a stay. The beautiful bed-and-breakfast features six suites named after the characters from the film, accompanied by plenty of movie memorabilia.
The outside of the house is beautifully charming, featuring a welcoming sign that says “Steel Magnolia, bed and breakfast, parking in rear”. The entire area is covered by green, making it an absolutely beautiful stay throughout any time of the year.
The front parlor of the house is absolutely stunning, featuring a beautifully lit chandelier to light the entire room, a fireplace, and few seating areas.
The front porch features all-white rocking chairs directly in the sun’s rays for those who feel like working up on their tan!
The main dining area is simply stunning, featuring an elongated dining room table and gorgeous chandelier. It certainly gives off old-fashioned vibes for those who are interested in a less-modern bed-and-breakfast.
