20 Common Dreams And What They Supposedly Mean

It is impossible not to dream. Every single person, all around the world, dream while they are asleep, for minimum 90 minutes. Dreams have always been a topic of mystery among people. Some dreams are straightforward; they are the exact replica of what you are thinking, or were thinking, or of what’s going on in your life. But some dreams are not that easy to decipher. They just do not make sense (for me, that is most of the times). The concept of dreams becomes even more intriguing when it is realized that people across the world have similar dreams. Here are some very common dreams and their meanings. 1. Things like radios and television can actually sometimes be a link between your conscious and unconscious mind. Being late or lost can mean that you have little faith in yourself - your timekeeping skills, and your ability to get things completed. Also, you should never follow rabbits you don't know down holes. 3. Snakes, like cats, can be open to interpretation depending on your relationship with them. Many people are afraid of snakes, and since snakes are unpredictable and strike without warning, they may represent things that are out of the dreamer's control, like opening the Chamber of Secrets because a horcrux possessed your body. 4. Hair is considered to have to ties to sexuality, so hair loss in a dream can sometimes symbolize a drop in sexual desire, where as full, shiny, glamorous hair can mean the opposite. 5. Dreaming of being in a relationship, or of being with a lover actually symbolizes your relationship with yourself. Note that this is separate from dreaming about s*x. 6. Dreaming about a baby usually happens when there's something new coming into your life, or you're expecting a big change. Babies in dreams represent new possibilities. 7. Dreaming about cats tends to be dependent on your relationship with cats. Cats are independent, free spirits, so they could represent things like free spirit, femininity, creativity, and power. On the flip side, they could also be a bad omen. Basically, the interpretation of cats in a dream is quite open to interpretation, depending on the person. 8. Vampires can symbolize a few different things. If you dream about a specific person being a vampire, it could mean that you know deep down that that person isn't good for you. Vampires in general can either represent fear and death or sexuality. Dreaming about sparkly vampires means you read low-quality teen literature. 9. Dreaming of dark looming figures means that you have doubts about the future and yourself. Undefined dark figures can symbolize these worries, and it can sometimes help to try and work through what's worrying you when you're awake. Or cast a Patronus charm. 10. There's a kind of reoccurring dream that only Type A or perfectionist people tend to have - Test Taking. Specifically, stressful test taking. These dreams remind a person to stay alert in stressful or high pressure situations, like work...because it's not like you need to rest while you're sleeping. 11. Roads can convey your direction or path in life. Bumpy, scary roads? May want to reconsider some stuff. Being naked can mean a few different things - stress and feeling vulnerable, being exposed to a person or situation you don't trust, or that you're trying to hide something. 13. Dreaming of strawberries is indicative of sensual desires. 19. Dreaming about water is pretty common and is also a pretty telling dream. It's a mirror of how your subconscious is feeling. Is it angry stormwater? Clear and warm? Fog covered? Dirty? Full of sea monsters? Are you drowning in it? Yeah...just take the hint. 20.
